Updated 12/14
This page will be updated soon with a LOT of information.
So stay tuned.
First- Our membership has dropped almost 10% in the past 5 years. I don't know how that isn't important to people, and the biggest red flag ever. But apparently it doesn't matter enough.
Second- MAPE refuses to update our technology, preventing any sort of data collection. And we tell members we're 'updating it soon' (annually). It's basically a tradition at this point. #unionware4ever
Third- There is a lot I could say about accountability and transparency, but if I still want to do anything useful in MAPE I probably shouldn't say anything. Right? Maybe?
1-Focus on our NEO's (New Employee Orientations), as employees hired in the last year are only joining around 50% of the time, and members with under 4 years of service are under 60% membership. This is a recipe for decertification and horrible contracts.
2-Actually upgrade MAPE's technology and website. And procedures. And policies. And bylaws. And forms. And accessibility. And standards.
3-Follow the bylaws. That's not hard. Right?
Oof... there's too much here to write down in detail right now.
MAPE sure does limit accessibility to candidates. More on that later also
